“You don’t become what you want, you become what you believe.” ― Oprah Winfrey Would I have imagined running a half marathon last year, No. Would I have imagined that running would be part of my self-care, No. I started running during Covid as an activity to get out my house which led me to find others to run with insert @madmilesrunclub . I didn’t know anyone but I knew I was tired of running alone. Taking a risk to try something by yourself is scary but growth and change only happen in uncomfortable places. Through @madmilesrunclub I’ve found another community that pushes and motivates. I wouldn’t have chosen to run 13.1 miles if I didn’t have others pushing me both in the run community and those I already consider my community. Saturday mornings with the girls kept me accountable.
